When she is not practicing or performing, she is teaching violin students from young beginners to adults. Her mission is to make music more accessible through teaching and performing to help others develop an appreciation for this creative outlet. As a result, she hopes that this shared positive impact will bring a meaningful understanding between people and help to form communities between those involved. | In 2021 Ciana received her bachelor’s degree in violin performance from the University of North Texas, studying under Dr. Ania Bard-Schwarz and baroque violin under Professor Cynthia Roberts. During her time at UNT she also studied with Professor Julia Bushkova, Professor Philip Lewis, Dr. Daphne Gerling, and Professor Scott Tixier. | Ciana has performed at Carnegie Hall, for the Grammy Planning Committee, with American Idolist Austin Michael, Grammy award-winning artist Kurt Elling, Dallas Lyric Stage Orchestra, the Texarkana Symphony, and other orchestras and artists in the Texas and Oklahoma regions. | Besides playing violin, Ciana uses her free time to garden, read, and spend time with her family, friends, and cat, Tiger.
