DaEun Han started her pianistic study at age 3 and has been recognized for her talent even since her childhood and won numerous awards from various music competitions while growing up in her country, South Korea.

She graduated from Yewon School and Seoul Arts High school (most prestigious art schools in Korea), and earned her Bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University (most prestigious university in Korea) with Cum Laude, studying with Ian Hobson. She continued her musical studies at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and earned a Master’s degree and Artist Diploma studying with Norman Krieger.

In the State, she won the grand prize at Young Texas Artists Music Competition and also the first prize at Indiana chapter of NSAL instrumental music competition.

As a piano teacher, Han taught at the Young Pianist Program at Indiana University as a faculty member and also participated in Distance Teaching and Learning Lab - Cheerful Heart Project and taught students in the Dominican Republic online.

Daeun is currently pursuing her doctoral degree at University of North Texas under the tutelage of Dr. Pamela mia Paul.

While she is not teaching at LSMA, she works as an instructor of group piano classes and private lessons at University of North Texas as a Teaching Fellow. Han is also passionate about chamber music, collaborative piano, performing many collaborative and chamber performances each year. Han is very excited to share her musical expertise with LSMA students and help each student enjoy learning the piano and fulfill their musical potential.
