Dr. Zinecker has enjoyed teaching students in the studio setting for over 34 years.  Students under the tutelage of Dr. Zinecker have received such awards as college scholarships in vocal and piano performance, All-State, All-District, and numerous Honor Choir designations.  Dr. Zinecker has held professional memberships in organizations such as the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA), Texas Choral Directors Association (TCDA), Missouri Music Educators Association (MMEA), Missouri Choral Directors Association (MCDA), Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), all providing opportunities for students to excel as musicians in the competitive arena.

Dr. Zinecker has a lifelong passion for music education and has taught choir in the Conroe Texas Independent School District and Republic Missouri School District, for 33 years.  She has also taught as an Adjunct Professor of Voice and Piano at Drury University, Springfield, Missouri. She served as Associate Director for Community Children’s Choirs of Southwest Missouri, and Director of Choirs for Christ Episcopal Church, Springfield, Missouri.  Tricia has enjoyed acting as an adjudicator for competitions such as NATS Solo Competitions, Texas University Interscholastic League (UIL), Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHAA), District, Region, and State Solo, Ensemble, and Choral Competitions.

Dr. Zinecker holds vocal performance and pedagogy degrees from Drury University, Springfield, Missouri (BM) and Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois, (MM).  In addition, she holds a Supervisory Degree and Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from Southwest Baptist University.  Dr. Zinecker has been honored to be selected as choir director of a TMEA Elementary Honor Choir performing at the TMEA Convention, in 1994, a Missouri Music Educators Association Middle School Honor Choir performing at the 2015 and 2024 MMEA Conventions, and Associate Director of Conroe High School Choir selected to perform at the American Choral Directors Convention, 1998.  Dr. Zinecker is a soprano soloist with a successful performance career in the Houston, Texas, and Southwest Missouri Regions.  In addition, Dr. Zinecker is recognized as a member of Strathmore’s Who’s Who of American Educators and Who’s Who of American Women.  Above all experience and accolades, Dr. Zinecker values most highly the personal relationships with her students and her job as a wife, mother of three successful young adults.

Dr. Zinecker is excited to join LSMA and continues to foster the next generation of music students.
