Elijah Snyder is a Jazz Saxophonist and Multi-instrumentalist. Coming from a family of educators, Elijah developed a love and understanding for teaching at a young age.

Elijah began his teaching journey in high school, working with students in clinics and educational performances in his hometown of State College, Pennsylvania. It was then that he discovered how amazing it is to observe the growth of a student, watching them learn to love the music that he loves so dearly. It was this discovery that led him to form his own studio, teaching students from elementary to high school.

Elijah has been playing saxophone for over a decade, picking up new instruments along the way. At UNT, he studies and performs on saxophone, clarinet, and flute, while his passions have led him to the bass and guitar, on which he frequently performs as well.

As a multi-instrumentalist, Elijah is capable of teaching saxophone, clarinet, flute, electric/upright bass, as well as beginner piano and guitar.

Elijah believes that a love for music begins with fun and playful discovery: when students enjoy playing their instruments, practice becomes less and less of a chore, and that love music becomes lifelong.

Elijah is currently finishing up his degree in jazz studies at the University of North Texas and excited to welcome new students in his studio.
